Chapter 3, The Mighty Demon

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

Under the powerful energies of the Great Sun Dharma King and the spectral essence of Xiang Yu, Kang Mingyu found it impossible to enter the circle of their battle. The Great Sun Dharma King's Great Sun Purple Flame Technique was ever-changing and unfathomable, while Xiang Yu's overwhelming Yin Thunder surged with an indomitable spirit. Witnessing this left Kang Mingyu in a state of profound awe and distraction.

Kang Mingyu, upon being reprimanded by the Great Sun Dharma King, involuntarily followed the key principles of the Spirit Control and Demon Suppression Technique. He made every effort to calm his primordial spirit, utilizing the true energy of the purple flame from the Great Sun Dharma King to subdue the ancient tyrannical spirit within him

Kang Mingyu was deep in thought when suddenly a thunderous roar erupted, and a pitch-black figure appeared out of nowhere beside him. An overwhelming aura of murderous intent instantly enveloped the entire scene. Kang Mingyu swept his left hand across the broken sword, once again allowing the magic sword to taste blood and sharpen its edge. He gathered all his true energy to counter this wave of killing intent.

Cursing inwardly, where could this Hundred Bones Daoist have found such formidable ghostly soldiers? Kang Mingyu, unarmed, dared not resist and could only flee. Although Kang Mingyu possessed decent martial arts skills and excellent lightness of foot, how could she possibly compare to the ghosts that moved like the wind, ethereal and elusive? After just a few steps of running, she heard a whooshing sound behind her, followed by a chill that began to swirl around her head, as if seeking a suitable position to strike down.

With the assistance of the Buddha's power from the Vajra Staff, Kang Mingyu urgently urged the true energy within his body. His consciousness forcefully collided with the chilling aura, and a multitude of thoughts surged into his mind. A wave of negative emotions filled with regret, agitation, and despair flooded into Kang Mingyu's heart. He could hardly bear it, feeling an overwhelming urge to jump up and shout, wanting to unleash a bout of slaughter to feel a sense of relief

Under the howls of countless wild spirits filling the sky, Kang Mingyu was suddenly surrounded by numerous malevolent souls. Faced with such a sinister atmosphere, Kang Mingyu was at a loss on how to defend himself. Just as he was preparing to fight to the death, the bamboo staff in his hand erupted with myriad rays of light, and a golden beam shot up into the sky, enveloping Kang Mingyu in its protection

Countless shadowy soldiers and ghostly generals were obstructed by this golden beam of light, howling and continuously crashing into the beam.

In mid-air, with a twist of her waist, Kang Mingyu stepped down forcefully. Her foot shattered the ground as if kicking apart a pile of snowballs. As she landed, Kang Mingyu saw before her a gaunt ghostly general, once again coalescing from the ethereal black mist.

Kang Mingyu had just been suppressed by the Great Sun Dharma King, who quelled the yin spirits absorbed within him, when he heard a fierce and angry shout from above. A blaze of light, comparable to the midday sun, suddenly erupted. The yin spirits that were gradually gathering here were all scorched and let out wretched cries, instantly turning to ashes and vanishing.

Subduing demons and vanquishing evil, the great sun's purple flames

Seeing Kang Mingyu's pupils turn red, he was filled with rage. The Great Sun Dharma King couldn't help but sigh and pointed a finger at Kang Mingyu's forehead

The imposing presence of the millennium tyrant spirit drew closer. The cold and oppressive aura emanating from Xiang Yu had already left Kang Mingyu gasping for breath. Fortunately, Kang Mingyu was not prepared for the Daylight King to actually take action against him, yet he still tightly gripped the bamboo staff in his hand. In a moment of desperation, Kang Mingyu raised the staff, executing a technique akin to Mount Tai pressing down, and fiercely struck towards Xiang Yu's head with the staff.

After a person dies, their consciousness is completely extinguished. Only those with strong spirits and vigorous willpower can, with their last breath, barely linger in the human realm. However, this state lasts only a few days at most, after which they are mostly dissipated by the primordial energies of heaven and earth, scattering into the void. Only a very few souls, burdened by heavy grievances, can, driven by their resentment, become vengeful spirits. Individuals like Xiang Yu, who can endure for a thousand years and still have their essence unextinguished, are indeed rare in the world.

A resounding and powerful roar, mingled with an infinite chill of darkness, sounded particularly harsh. Countless shadowy souls around were howling in madness, and for a moment, Kang Mingyu was uncertain whether this roar was the same as the one from last night.

Even though Kang Mingyu was under the protection of the King of Darifang, and additionally fortified by talismans to ward off evil and surrounded by vital energy, he was still shaken by that abrupt shout, causing his head to buzz, nearly making him want to drop the broken sword in his hand and cover his ears.

The Great Sun Dharma King has been in conflict with this ancient tyrant for more than a day. Even the Hundred Bones Daoist was unable to subdue this defiant Xiang Yu

At this point, the Great Sun Dharma King paused and chuckled, saying: "The Hundred Bones Daoist has already formed a battle spirit, but the number of fierce spirits he has captured is simply too many, making this battle spirit appear weak. On ordinary days, it only absorbs the souls of the wronged and the vengeful underground, rarely making an appearance."

Who in the world can obstruct my path, Xiang Yu! You all, get out of my way!

Countless restless spirits invaded his body, vying for control over it with Kang Mingyu. Struggling to maintain his composure, Kang Mingyu moved toward the battlefield of the Overlord of Chu, Xiang Yu, and the Great Sun Dharma King like a living corpse

The Great Sun Dharma King chuckled and said, "Indeed, the child is teachable. It is true that as long as we break the battle soul that has not yet fully transformed into the Heavenly Ghost General, the backlash of the Doumu Xuanling secret spell will allow that Hundred Bones Old Daoist to be devoured by ten thousand ghosts"

Kang Mingyu, who was knocked down by the malevolent spirit, in a moment of panic, disregarded everything else and unleashed the newly learned technique of Spirit Control and Ghost Mastery with all his might. Hundreds of wandering souls could not withstand this sudden surge of power and transformed into faint green light, rushing into Kang Mingyu's body one after another. After absorbing over a hundred souls, Kang Mingyu's power doubled. With his ten fingers extended, ten beams of sword light shot out from his body, sending all the spirits pressing down on him flying.

Kang Mingyu felt a chill in his heart upon hearing this, and hurriedly sat cross-legged, silently reciting the incantation of the Spirit Capturing and Ghost Controlling Technique, striving to subdue the countless vengeful spirits within him

Vajra protects the body, the Great Sun subdues demons. Om Mani Padme Hum

Initially, the Baigu Daoist passed by the Wu River by chance and sensed an overwhelming aura of murder in a certain area. He employed dark arts, which inadvertently awakened the heroic spirit of Xiang Yu, who had been in slumber for nearly two thousand years. Alongside him, countless ancient soldiers were also summoned, prompting the Baigu Daoist to contemplate the idea of cultivating these restless souls into celestial generals. However, after residing in this place for several months, he not only failed to master the Doumu Xuanling secret spell but was also tracked down by the Great Sun Dharma King.

The highly alert Kang Mingyu suddenly felt a warmth at the crown of his head. The countless yin spirits absorbed into his body were suppressed by the immovable fundamental seal of the Great Sun Dharma King, instantly clearing his mind.

The formidable bamboo staff, just moments ago, now showed no reaction. Kang Mingyu stared blankly as several streams of black smoke entered his body.

Under the clash of energy, the broken sword in the hands of Kang Mingyu, whose cultivation was far inferior to that of the two, was instantly shattered into seven or eight pieces. Before he could even approach the two, he was sent flying backward, spitting blood.

However, if the celestial ghost generals refined in this manner are not under the control of the refiner, then before practicing, one must first refine a battle soul that can be controlled by oneself. This battle soul will then be used to absorb the remaining yin souls. Only the celestial ghost generals cultivated in this way can be controlled freely by the heart.

Kang Mingyu was profoundly shocked upon hearing the words of the Great Sun Dharma King. The distinction between humans and demons in the world is, one could say, as clear as day. The ten great demons of the world are certainly not human and cannot be compared to top experts like the Great Sun Dharma King. The former often cultivate for a thousand years, achieving profound power, while the latter possess extraordinary wisdom and align with the natural order. Kang Mingyu truly did not know who would be stronger in a direct competition: the current four great experts or the rampant ferocity of the ten great demons.

Although it is a form of demonic sorcery, the art of controlling spirits and demons indeed possesses its own intricacies. To prevent the primordial spirit and soul that are shot into the body from interfering with one's consciousness and seizing the physical form, there are numerous techniques to suppress such conditions

However, the chilling aura formed by Xiang Yu's lingering spirit became increasingly agitated. It had already connected with Kang Mingyu's primordial spirit, and the emotions of both were mutually influential. Kang Mingyu tried his best to calm himself, yet he gradually sensed that he was being entangled by Xiang Yu's lingering spirit, as if he were about to be controlled by this ancient tyrant's spirit.

Without waiting for Kang Mingyu to have further questions, the Great Sun Dharma King said: "You have absorbed that Xiang Yu's ghost; now hurry and cultivate. While the power of those ghosts is still not dissipated under the old monk's restrictions, transform this ghost for your own use. Not only can you avoid the backlash from the ghost later, but you can also enhance your power tenfold"

Numerous spectral soldiers and ghost generals were divided into several major factions, engaging in a frenzied mutual slaughter. Whenever a spectral soul was shattered into black mist, it would be absorbed by the spectral soldiers and ghost generals that had charged in. The spectral soldiers and ghost generals that absorbed these souls would become even more formidable. This cycle of violent conflict continued, and after observing for a long time, Kang Mingyu saw no reduction in the number of these spectral souls; instead, the ferocious ghost generals appeared to grow increasingly powerful. This left Kang Mingyu feeling alarmed and terrified, rendering him speechless for a long while.

Kang Mingyu's psychic power extended, colliding with the chilling aura within him, causing an overwhelming sensation of internal combustion and resulting in a spurt of fresh blood from his mouth. An indescribable annoyance surged in his heart. The diamond staff in his hand erupted once more with brilliant golden light, forming a beam that enveloped Kang Mingyu.

"Channeling spirits and commanding demons, absorbing primordial essence, young Taoist! Quickly cultivate your energy, focus your thoughts, and stabilize your primordial spirit..."

At this moment, the sky grew increasingly dark. Not only had the last ray of sunlight disappeared, but even the sun, moon, and stars seemed to be lazy, failing to emerge to inspect the heavens. The horizon was filled with rolling dark clouds, and faint sounds of thunder could be heard, rumbling ominously. Countless restless souls surged forth from the ground, a chaotic mass of formless spirits mingling with the solidified ghostly soldiers, overwhelming the scene from the ground to the sky, as if the air was entirely filled with the drifting and fierce souls.

After being dispelled by the Great Sun Dharma King, these malevolent spirits did not retreat back underground as they would during the day. Countless spirits, although no longer approaching to disturb Kang Mingyu and the Great Sun Dharma King, began to turn on each other in a violent frenzy

Kang Mingyu did not anticipate that this self-proclaimed unparalleled tyrant, an extraordinary malevolent spirit, would be so overwhelmingly powerful. Even the protective power of the Great Sun Dharma King could not hold it back for a moment, and in an instant, it had already encroached upon his vicinity. Kang Mingyu swiftly thrust his broken sword, intending to rescue the Great Sun Dharma King from his predicament

Just this moment of delay, the emaciated ghost general would once again coalesce into form. Kang Mingyu, not waiting for the opponent to strike, took the initiative and swung his hand in a sweeping motion. Although he was not skilled in staff techniques, this aimless flailing still exuded considerable momentum. The ghost general was struck twice in succession by Kang Mingyu's bamboo staff, howling in rage as its malevolent flames intensified.

Subduing demons and vanquishing evil, Vajra staff, break!

Sensing the doubts of Kang Mingyu, the Great Sun Dharma King said in a deep voice: "This Doumu Xuanling secret spell is extraordinarily strange. The souls bound here, under the influence of this evil magic, will gradually devour the remaining weaker souls. In the end, only one will remain, and that will be the Dutiangui General"

In just this brief moment, Kang Mingyu discovered that nearly half of the countless malevolent spirits within him had vanished. A powerful and chilling aura roamed restlessly within his body. Any remaining malevolent spirit encountered was immediately devoured. With each spirit consumed, this chilling aura grew stronger. Kang Mingyu suddenly recalled the imposing and awe-inspiring ancient overlord from earlier, who seemed to dominate the world. It appeared that capturing him was indeed not so easy, as he was entirely different from the other malevolent spirits.

This ghostly general, though exceedingly emaciated, possesses a robust skeletal structure and stands exceptionally tall. Kang Mingyu barely reaches the height of the general's chest. The body bears over ten wounds, with flesh torn and rolled back, indicating a particularly tragic death in life. An arrow has penetrated the skull through the left eye, clearly suggesting that he perished from this fatal blow. The armor covering his body is tattered and worn, yet the golden throat guard, lion barbarian belt, lion-like armor, and tiger-head boots signify the general's former nobility.

Although countless phantoms around had transformed into ghostly soldiers and generals, engaged in a brutal battle, Kang Mingyu felt no fear of being possessed by myriad ghosts, as he was protected by the Great Sun Dharma King. He calmed his mind and focused his mental energy to capture that chilling aura

Shaking his head slightly, the Great Sun Dharma King said: "The Dutiangui General is an evil entity formed from the gathering of countless malevolent souls, while this is a naturally born malevolent spirit of a thousand years, which is entirely different. If it were not for the insatiable greed of the Hundred Bones Daoist, who gathered all the evil spirits within thousands of miles, some of the thousand-year malevolent spirits would not submit to control, resulting in his Doumu Xuanling secret spell remaining unrefined to this day. Today, the old monk would not have to go through the trouble of exorcising demons..."

The bamboo staff in Kang Mingyu's hand suddenly erupted with a more vigorous and brilliant golden light under the furious shout of the Great Sun Dharma King. With the assistance of the powers from both the Great Sun Dharma King and the Vajra Staff, Kang Mingyu's ability to command spirits and subdue demons surged tenfold. The hundreds of restless yin spirits within him were abruptly compressed into a mass by this formidable combined force, shrinking into Kang Mingyu's dantian. The influx of yin spirits that had been continuously pouring in was also violently severed at the same time, dispersing into countless strands of black mist swirling around his body.

At this moment, Kang Mingyu was lifted by an extraordinarily strange force, floating in mid-air. His upper body was enveloped by the Great Sun Purple Flame, while the Great Sun Dharma King pressed down on his head, seemingly trying to force him back to the ground. However, from his feet to his lower body, he was shrouded in dense black mist, with countless malevolent spirits forming a dark misty net that tightly bound Kang Mingyu, as thousands of these spirits continuously surged into his body.

At this moment of crisis, Kang Mingyu suddenly heard a loud shout from above: "Little Taoist, catch it!"

The heavens opened wide, and Kang Mingyu's mental power was enhanced a hundredfold. The power of the Spirit Capturing and Ghost Controlling Great Technique surged tenfold. The yin spirits within his body burst apart one after another, merging into his own true energy and primordial spirit

After a fierce clash with the Great Sun Dharma King, Xiang Yu was secretly astonished. This tyrant spirit, which had endured a thousand years of resentment, not only did not dissipate like ordinary ghosts, but instead absorbed the earth's energy for nourishment, becoming even more powerful. At the moment of striking, a chaotic current surged throughout his body, and a dreadful green ghostly aura enveloped the surroundings, putting the Great Sun Dharma King at a temporary disadvantage.

All rivers return to the sea, commanding spirits and subduing demons. Break!

Compared to Kang Mingyu's spontaneous action, the Great Sun Dharma King had long been prepared. He formed the Vajra King Sword Seal with his hands, and a burst of purple flame erupted from the tip of his finger, sitting still as he faced the might of the unparalleled overlord's fist.

Even so, if it were not for the spell of the Master of the Hundred Bones that awakened this ancient tyrant spirit, Xiang Yu would eventually meet his demise, his soul scattered and no longer existing

He turned his head to look, and the Great Sun Dharma King was sitting on the ground, showing no signs of movement. Kang Mingyu felt an additional layer of admiration for this renowned old monk. It was unclear what kind of spell the Great Sun Dharma King had employed, but within a radius of five feet, there seemed to be an invisible barrier that prevented any surrounding spirits from intruding, protecting even Kang Mingyu within it.

Kang Mingyu was momentarily taken aback, straining to gaze into the distance, and said to the Great Sun Dharma King: "Isn't the one who is continuously shouting the Heavenly Ghost General?"

Om Mani Padme Hum! Thunder and lightning, earth, water, fire, wind, seal!

Kang Mingyu suppressed the fear in his heart and said to the Great Sun Dharma King: "Only this battle soul refined by his spells can be controlled by him. So, if we break that yet-to-be-formed Dutiangui General, does that mean we have won?"

Hundreds of restless souls clashed and surged within her body, and Kang Mingyu could only feel a myriad of bizarre thoughts swirling chaotically in her mind. The true energy within her was exceedingly agitated, coursing through the meridians in a tumultuous manner, as if it could not be contained any longer.

With a long sigh, the Great Sun Dharma King said in a deep voice: "The old monk can only find a way to perish together with this demon, as there is no other way to stop it."

A brilliant flash of light, arriving at a critical moment, howled through the air and swiftly blocked the ghost general's long blade, producing a clanging sound. Kang Mingyu turned around to see that it was the Great Sun Dharma King, who, noticing Kang Mingyu in danger, had somehow conjured a long weapon from nowhere and thrown it to him. The ghost general could not withstand the true power of the Great Sun attached to the weapon, and was instantly shattered, transforming into a wisp of black mist. Moreover, the true power of the Great Sun continued unabated, piercing more than half a foot into the ground.

Kang Mingyu, realizing the opportunity, hurriedly pulled the weapon from the ground. Holding it in his hand, he felt it was quite heavy, likely weighing several dozen pounds. It was blunt and unsharpened, merely a bamboo staff. This staff was eight feet long and as thick as a wrist, appearing rather unremarkable in its dark color. However, under the faint glow of ghostly light, it revealed a sheen of dark green oil.

Once again, a thunderous roar echoed, and a fist the size of a wine jar emerged as if from the depths of the underworld. It rushed straight toward the forehead of the Great Sun Dharma King. Before the fist could reach him, a fierce and violent wind had already caused the Great Sun Dharma King's robes to flutter, and several tattered strips of cloth reluctantly drifted away from his body

This unassuming dark green bamboo staff is a treasure of heaven and earth, crafted from millennia-old dark bamboo. The Great Sun Dharma King obtained it and once gathered thirty-six Vajrayana lamas to bestow upon it the supreme Buddhist mantra of the Great Powerful Vajra, empowering it with immense spiritual force. It is capable of subduing all malevolent spirits, possessing tremendous power

Kang Mingyu was unaware that what the Great Sun Dharma King had just said to him, "What borrowed body sealing all heavenly demons, and then thinking of ways to expel them..." was entirely nonsense. Teaching him this method of spirit capturing and demon controlling was far from benevolent.

Today, Kang Mingyu was first forced by the Great Sun Dharma King to open his meridians, which forcibly enhanced his power. In just one day, he mastered the Scarlet Flame Sword Light Technique and subsequently absorbed countless yin souls. Additionally, with the Great Sun Dharma King forcibly opening his heavenly eye, Kang Mingyu, in a state of confusion, has already advanced from an ordinary practitioner to the realm of a top-tier expert. His martial arts and techniques have progressed at an astonishing rate.

As he watched a large hand reaching towards him, ready to grasp him completely, Kang Mingyu sighed inwardly, thinking that his life was about to end. Suddenly, he felt a wave of peaceful and pure energy coming from behind him. His bones and muscles instantly swelled as if filled with air, and the true energy within him, which had been suppressed by Xiang Yu's imposing presence, erupted like a mountain torrent. His bamboo staff involuntarily swung in a beautiful arc, transforming into a spear that thrust directly at the center of Xiang Yu's ghostly forehead.

If heaven were to abandon me, it would not be the fault of war

The once-supported Kang Mingyu fell with a loud "bang!" from above. He was left dazed and disoriented, his head spinning.

At the moment when he was merging with the spirit of Xiang Yu, Kang Mingyu suddenly felt a bright light at his brow, as countless rays of light shone down from the horizon. His previously restless emotions also began to calm. It was the Great Sun Dharma King who, fearing that Kang Mingyu might lose control, forcibly opened his heavenly eye supernatural power using the esoteric Buddhist meditation technique.

Seeing Kang Mingyu appear somewhat anxious, the Great Sun Dharma King spoke in a slightly reassuring tone: "These are merely scattered souls trapped in this place. After a while, the Heavenly Ghosts will appear, and the young Taoist need not worry at all"

Pierced by the bamboo staff, Xiang Yu's spectral form suddenly dispersed into several strands of black mist, as if imbued with a spirit, winding up the bamboo staff. Kang Mingyu hesitated slightly and failed to throw the bamboo staff away in time. The black mist, emanating from Xiang Yu's spectral form, wound along the bamboo staff and enveloped Kang Mingyu.

Wuhua

The awakened ancient overlord exudes an astonishing might. Before Kang Mingyu's bamboo staff even descends, an overwhelming chill has already engulfed the young Taoist, leaving him feeling as if he were encased in ice and snow, with his entire being, down to the marrow and blood, nearly frozen. This strike had yet to be delivered when it was already thwarted by Xiang Yu.

A pair of withered hands above him transmitted waves of scorching true energy. Kang Mingyu felt as if his body had transformed into a battlefield of Asura. The black energy that had just entered his body clashed fiercely with the sizzling thunderous Yin energy and the great sun purple flame force from the Great Sun Dharma King. The two unmatched, powerful forces of internal energy surged and battled within Kang Mingyu, causing a tumult of cold and heat, with thunder and lightning flashing. He wished that the King of Hell would immediately send out the Ox-Head and Horse-Face to collect his soul. The pain throughout his body was so intense that he nearly fainted; it seemed that the trials of the eighteen layers of hell were nothing compared to this.

Kang Mingyu had just regained consciousness when a sound of something slicing through the air came from behind his head. In the midst of his busy schedule, Kang Mingyu sprang up and leaped into the sky. A long knife, dark and cold, swept past beneath his feet

If someone were to see Kang Mingyu at this moment, they would undoubtedly be ten times more terrified than if they encountered a ghost. Surrounded by swirling black smoke and faint green light, Kang Mingyu, who had just absorbed countless souls, had blood-red eyes and an expression on his previously calm face that bore an indescribable ferocity. His movements were also unlike usual; his limbs were stiff, and every gesture resembled that of a puppet, rigid and lifeless.

Kang Mingyu was astonished by the seemingly unremarkable bamboo staff, which possessed such formidable power. Suddenly, a figure broke through the beam of light and approached him. Just as Kang Mingyu steadied himself and realized it was the Great Sun Dharma King, he was struck on the back by the old monk's palm. A surge of powerful internal energy surged through him, causing Kang Mingyu to involuntarily soar into the air, charging towards Xiang Yu, who was pursuing the Great Sun Dharma King.

Kang Mingyu is not a fool; after obtaining the incantation for this powerful technique of controlling spirits and demons, he has gained some insights through contemplation. He understands that as long as he can subdue this strongest force, the remaining souls will be easily managed.

The Great Sun Dharma King possesses profound cultivation, with martial arts and Buddhist teachings reaching the highest and most supreme realm. Although the ancient tyrant spirit before him is extraordinarily powerful and exudes an overwhelming ferocity, it ultimately lacks the complete wisdom it once had in life. It relies solely on a surge of resentment, acting purely on instinct. Considering that what he must confront is not the once-mighty spirit of the Western Chu overlord, the Great Sun Dharma King did not exert his full strength. During the battle, he still had the leisure to survey the battlefield. Upon noticing that Kang Mingyu was in an unusual situation, the Great Sun Dharma King swiftly formed a motionless fundamental seal, sending forth a vast wave of Buddhist power.

This technique of summoning spirits and controlling demons is a mysterious spell from the demonic sect, capable of absorbing the essence and blood of others, as well as the malevolent souls and spirits, to greatly enhance one's power. Kang Mingyu was unaware of the origins of this skill and, in a reckless attempt to use it, inadvertently absorbed countless malevolent souls. Although this resolved the immediate crisis, it also planted the seeds of disaster within.

As he lightly descended from mid-air to the ground, although the Great Sun Dharma King had dispelled the surrounding evil spirits, his expression was far from pleasant. Given his cultivation level, dealing with these ghostly soldiers was not an easy victory; he still needed to rely on the youthful body of Kang Mingyu to seal the strongest of the evil spirits, Xiang Yu. He secretly pondered whether he had underestimated Baigu Daoist, one of the Ten Demons of the World.

In his prime, Xiang Yu was renowned as the world's greatest warrior, his martial prowess rivaling that of the Great Sun Dharma King. A millennium of unending resentment has only intensified the fierce spirit of this ancient overlord. Throughout his life, the Great Sun Dharma King showcased all his martial arts, yet he could only manage to fight Xiang Yu to a standstill.

Soaring through the clouds, Kang Mingyu fell seven or eight zhang to the ground, and countless malevolent spirits rushed towards him.

Moreover, within the black mist surrounding Kang Mingyu's lower body, flashes of a grim green lightning occasionally flickered, exuding an astonishing aura. The Great Sun Dharma King was firmly held aloft in mid-air, with neither side able to gain the upper hand.

To Kang Mingyu's surprise, this ancient tyrant spirit showed no reaction to the sudden increase in his might. As the bamboo staff pierced through its skull, Kang Mingyu felt a sense of foreboding in his heart
